Movement and Mindfulness with Ella

School programmes for tamariki and teachers.

Building confidence and resilience.

As educators, we know that academic achievement is important, but it's not the only measure of success for our students. In order to truly thrive in life, students need to develop a range of skills, including emotional regulation and mindfulness. That's why we're excited to offer mindfulness and emotional regulation sessions in our schools.

Through our sessions, students will learn practical techniques for taking care of their body, managing their emotions and reducing stress - such as deep breathing, movement, relaxations, and visualisations. They'll also gain a deeper understanding of their own emotions and learn how to respond to difficult situations with empathy and compassion. By practising mindfulness and emotional regulation, students will be better equipped to handle the challenges of life, both in and out of the classroom.

But our sessions are about more than just individual well-being - it's also about building a stronger, more compassionate community. As students learn to regulate their own emotions and respond to others with empathy, they'll be better able to form positive relationships and work collaboratively with others. Our programme is an investment in the social and emotional health of our students, and we believe it will pay dividends in terms of academic achievement, personal fulfilment, and overall well-being.

Mindfulness in schools

Do you want to support children to….

  • Self-regulate their emotions

  • Learn what makes them unique

  • Develop their imagination and creativity

  • Be in control of their inner voices (Inner Critic and Inner Coach)

  • Be kind, have empathy and build relationships in their community

Our mindfulness programmes are integrated with yoga movement with themes to suit a range of ages/stages.

The benefits of movement/yoga practice include stress and pain relief, improved circulation and digestion, better body alignment and posture, increased concentration, deeper, more relaxed breathing, and most importantly, a deep sense of well-being and inner peace.

Mindfulness Guide

Ella Sidey

Hello wonderful human,

It's fair to say we live in a pretty face pace world. We're always go, go, go and often don't take time to slow down and tune in to ourselves.

I support people to take control of their work-life balance so that they can live a calm, confident and fulfilled life.

I am passionate about guiding children to build a toolbox of skills for their everyday life to regulate emotions, build confidence and care for their mind and body.

Colourful, co-creating, building community, kindness, respect, FUN, sometimes silly , movement and mindfulness - this is how I guide children to learn tools for bodies and minds. This is a Movement and Mindfulness with Ella.
